The results of my Blood Reports were sent to my mail id and i quickly opened the pdf file which had almost 12 pages.
As I was scrolling page by page , I was surprised to see my results unfold.
My Hb crossed 12 for the first time since my transplant.
My Thyroid levels were back to normal.
My ESR level for the first time was showing 26 . It was always more than 50 or 60
My Uric acid levels stabilised.
My Creatinine was always at 1 and now reduced to 0.9
My B12 was in the normal range too . I do take a supplement daily.
My Vitamin D3 levels was in the medium range.
Most importantly my Serum Globulin was perfect.
Woww , I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. All this with the simple diet and lifestyle that I was following for two and half montths. The only ‘side effect’ of the new lifestyle was that I lost 5 kgs in those two and half months.
I was prepared to look skinnier and be healthy rather then be sick and look chubbier.
I then decided to stop the medicine I was taking for Thyroid. I also started taking only one capsule of Shallaki for knee pains instead of two.
I continued the same diet and still continuing and intend to continue for ever.
I wrote a mail to Sarita ji and gave her my feedback and requested her to show my results to Acharya ji. She replied after a few days and said I should continue the same diet and I can continue to ask any further doubts.
I am allergic to dust and once during this period I had mild cough and bronchitis attack . Before I started following this lifestyle I used to take a herbal powder for my cough and take allopathy for the Bronchitis. (Much before I started Ayurveda medicines , I would take Antibiotics very frequently) . Whereas this time i did not take the herbal powder too , instead , as recommended by this lifestyle , I went on a liquid diet (White Chart) for 2 days and used the ‘Patti’ for four times each day and did the Enema 2 times each day. I also put my feet in warm water at night. I was miraculously fine on the third day 🙂
Kept watching the videos by Acharya Mohan ji and also the feedback given by many of the followers of this lifestyle. Very positive feedback given by those who had been suffering from Hypertension, Diabetes, Thyroid, Asthma, Constipation, Skin problems etc. I too have finally experienced the Miracles of a ‘Natural Lifestyle’ and hence wanted to share with all.
I feel quite energetic and continue to do simple chores like cooking , gardening and going to work.
I have been taking Ayurveda Medication like Curcumin, Ashwagandha , Tinaspora Cordifolia , Satavari for Multiple Myeloma since last 5 years and continuing them even after I started following ‘ Natural Lifestyle’ . I dont think I can stop or reduce these right now, but hopefully in future I should be able to reduce the dosage.
Will share my actual diet (Yellow Chart) and daily routine in my next post :))
Wanted to share my new diet with all for a long time. So, here it is –
I had come across a video by Subah jain via WhatsApp , sometime in the last quarter of 2019. I then looked her up on youtube and found two popular videos of hers. After watching them I was 50% convinced about what she was saying regarding cleansing and healing the body.
The methods and discipline recommended by her were very tough to follow. Requires a lot of self control and faith.
I would also read the comments on her videos to get some feedback on what others thought about the methods she was advocating. Someone had commented that she is following the diet prescribed by Acharya Mohan ji. I did some more digging and found videos by Acharya Mohan ji. Started watching his videos on youtube. He had started an organisation named ‘Natural Lifestyle’ and is based in Delhi. I watched many videos on their youtube channel. I would watch a few videos again and again till they made some sense. I then came across their Sunday live program on YouTube that started at 8am and went upto 1pm. This used to be a comprehensive program with a lot of details in a systematic manner. I watched this live show for several weeks. I then came across their 4 day residential course happening in Delhi. I wanted to meet Mohan ji and ask if I should follow his diet and whether I would benefit. I also wanted to attend the residential program. It was exactly during this time that COVID was making its presence felt all over the world. Hence I cancelled my plans of going to Delhi.
I started following their diet to check how it feels and whether I will be able to withstand that kind of a diet. I did feel very weak after a week , as if my body would collapse. In one of the videos Mohan ji did mention that this is a common symptom and one should not give up at this stage. I held on to the diet and within few more days I began to feel stronger :). This gave me the confidence to go on. After a month I started calling their support team to clear some doubts . I also mentioned my case history but none seemed interested. I hung on and luckily found Ms Sarita who listened to me . I told her I want to talk to Acharya ji and that I would have attended their residential course if not for this new virus. She gave me an email address and told me to write and ask all my queries. I did get a reply and called Sarita ji again . I was very happy that Acharya ji did see my message and said I should continue this diet. Felt wonderful.
I had sown Fenugreek seeds in a container. Today is the 5th day after sowing. This is how my Organic Methi looks today.
My baby Ridge gourd is also growing well and is now 4 inches in height 🙂 . This one is Organic too.
I have also harvested some organic curry leaves today. Should be sufficient for a week and more 🙂 . These leaves are a very healthy ingredient and are added in almost all South Indian recipes.
Yes, all my produce is Organic 🙂
Work has commenced today and those living very close to the Office premises attended . Almost 1/3rd of the employees attended which is a good sign. Will know the next plan of action in a day or two . I too have been making plans to go to work .Those who have kids below 5 years , are more than 55 years of age and have any health issues, those with any disabilities Appears I have no valid reason for not going to work . Unfortunately I am dependant on my driver which is the major hurdle now. Called my Driver and told him that he has to do his best to come . He lives almost 50km away from the city and not sure how he will be able to get back into the city. Waiting for the cabinet meeting to come out with a decision today as to the current Lockdown which is upto 7 May 20.
I have been supported by two maids , one cook and a Driver during the last 8 years in carrying out my daily chores. Thanks to them , I am doing well and able to manage work and home. I informed all of them to take a break after the COVID was declared a Pandemic. It is now my responsibility to take care of them by doing my bit. I decided to pay 50% of the salary to them. Hopefully that should take care of their expenses to sail through these tough times. I wish them and their families good health. Will definitely help them as much as I can. Our salaries have been reduced too and no one is cribbing.
I am a bit apprehensive as to how i will manage home and go to work even with the help of hubby .Will be very strenuous preparing and packing breakfast and lunch everyday.
A circular was issued by our HR department regarding starting of operations by our company from tomorrow.
A lot of confusion initially as to who should get back to work as a lot of employees live in Red zones and containment zones and also live very far off from the office.
There will be 2 shifts of 5 hours each and not more than 50% in each shift. A roster was prepared and sent by the Heads of Department to all their team .
Another circular also sent to all regarding sending a request for approval for working from home in case the employee has any issues.
I stay 15 km from my place of work , I use personal transport and my driver to is now in his village and I dont drive and my place is also in GHMC limits whereas my Office is not in GHMC limits. Hence, I applied for WFH. Yet to receive a confirmation approving my request from my HOD.
The central government has imposed lockdown till 17 May 20 ,whereas the State Government upto 7 May 20.
Got to wait till tomorrow for the state cabinet to decide on the future of the lockdown.
Called my driver to know how he and his family were doing and also to hint to him that my office is starting.
All of us have to mentally start preparing for a new lifestyle. Just when we all are getting used to the present circumstances we now have to start thinking of new way of life :
After using several methods to get rid of ants in our garden , this plant is blooming well. I am feeling very happy today 🙂
Here are the different ways we adopted :
Using Laxman Rekha – A chalk ,with which we draw lines whereever there are ants. Quite effective.
Using Neem oil – One spoon of Neem oil mixed with few drops of liquid soap is added to one litre of water and sprayed all over and around the plants.
Using Boric powder – one spoon of Boric powder and 4 spoons of sugar added to 2 spoons of water and made into a paste. This paste is poured into small containers and placed wherever there are ants.
Last but not the least , using Talcum powder. I sprinkled talcum powder on and around the plants.
Next weapon is to use camphor. As of now it appears there is no need for this.
Really tough to protect plants from these ants.
I harvested my leafy veggie called ‘Ponnaganti koora’ in The Telugu. Recorded a video and uploaded it. Very easy to grow these greens. Here is the link to the video-
My first Ridge gourd of his season seems to be growing, after I hand pollinated the female flower using the male flower. Another reason to be very happy today 🙂
I decided to totally relax today and no work from home too.
Made my Mom’s Peanut Chutney recipe for breakfast today and uploaded the recording on YouTube. The twist in this recipe is the use of Raw Onions at the fag end of the process. Another special ingredient is the use of Coriander seeds/powder which gives a different flavour to the chutney. Also the taste and crunch of raw onion is yummy. Here is the link-
Watched the Telugu movie ‘Bheeshma’ this afternoon . A movie a about Organic farming vs Chemical based farming. A subject which is dear to me. Surely the movie didn’t have much impact on the audience as not many are able to appreciate the difference yet.
Time to harvest my leafy greens namely ‘Ponnaganti koora’ from my little garden . This plant grows easily on the edges of fields in Andhra Pradesh , Telangana , Karnataka ,Tamilnadu and Sri Lanka too. This plant is not usually grown as a proper crop. It is a perennial plant and doesn’t require any maintenance except for a lot of water. It is another healthy green like spinach.
Lockdown on India is again extended by 2 weeks ie from 4 May 20 to 17 May 20.
Don’t know yet if this will have any effect on the reopening of my company on the 4 May 20.
For the first time during Lockdown Indian Railways has arranged a special Train from Hyderabad to Jharkhand for 1200 Migrants. More such trains may be arranged from other parts of the country. Anyday , Home is home , whichever part of the world it is .
Indian Railways is doing a great job under the leadership of Mr Piyush Goyal. Lot of essential supplies like food, medicines, milk etc being transported across the country.
Had another great Meditation experience during the live session by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. During the question answer session after the Meditation he says that after one year all the pain and suffering because of COVID-19 will be gone and things will be normal again.
Read some good news about the vaccine being developed by Oxford University these days.
Also saw some news about how India is going to manufacture these vaccines.
Appears good.
Some of the branches of our company in other parts of the company have started operations. We are a manufacturing company and hence very important that employees are physically present in the factory so as to produce goods.
There is some news that we might start operations from 4th May 20 which is just a few days away.
There are other similar companies in Hyderabad who are processing passes for their employees so that they are permitted to go to work by the police.
There is a live Meditation session with Sri Sri Ravi Shankar everyday at 12 PM and 12.30 PM. He also answers a few questions and is interviews by celebrities everyday.
I am unable to participate everyday , but whenever I do I am having a great experience. Each meditation is for around 20-25 minutes but everytime it feels like 5 minutes only. Superb !!
Time to try another method to get rid of ants on my garden..Boric powder. Told hubby about it and to try in the Pharmacy…and he got it..I was thrilled. Saw a few videos on YouTube and zeroed in one one particular method.Add one spoonful of Boric powder and 4 spoonfuls of sugar to 2 spoons of water. Mix well and make into a thick paste or slurry. Poured this paste into old diyas and placed them in a few hotspots in the garden.
Hope the trick works. My little ridge gourds are being sucked on by the ants and killing them 🙁 .
I recently learnt about hand pollination of plants. The best way to increase the yield of vegetables. I was watching one small ridge gourd grow and finally the flower on it tip bloomed today. It was dark when it bloomed and I finally completed the activity. Hopefully the Boric powder and the hand pollination will bear fruits ,I mean vegetables 🙂
My first Brinjal crop 🙂
And last but not the least , today’s harvest consisted of 3 long brinjals. Feels nice..hoping for more produce in the future 🙂
Uploaded my Video to my YouTube channel last night. This is a recipe for preparing slightly different style Scrambled Eggs. Learnt this recipe from a cook in my parents house. This was way back when I was in college. This lady belongs to East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh and her name is Ammaji. I call this dish ‘Ammaji’s Scrambled Eggs’ . There is a slight twist in this preparation and that is the use of water.
Here is the link to the video –
I uploaded another video today ,which I recorded yesterday. This is a composite Roti or Vegetable Roti.
Here is the link. –
I have been eating composite Roti’s for the last three months and they are quite filling. They are healthier, tastier and easy to digest. I learnt this recipe from ‘Natural Lifestyle’.
Appears I am getting addicted to recording and uploading videos. Recorded another video today 🙂
Making videos is a nice hobby :)…. Sharing some useful and interesting stuff with all. Does require a lot of planning, the actual recording , editing , uploading and then watching the number of views the videos are getting.
Lots of ants in my garden ,sucking on all the flowers . I see small ridge gourds growing but they soon turn yellow and dry up. I see lot of ants going up and down these plants.Saw a few videos on how to get rid of the ants and saw there are many solutions too. This evening i did the easiest thing . I sprinkled talcum powder on the plants.Talcum Powder is supposed o suffocate the ants. Got to see if it makes any difference. Fingers crossed. Feeling very upset that my gourds are drying 🙁
There are times when I am in the mood of recording a video and sharing on my YouTube channel. I am just a novice and usually share these videos with Family and friends. I am yet to learn some basic video editing skills and also improve the video recording skills. Yet to decide on a video editing software too.In spite of these handicaps i continue to upload a video once in a while. Gives me some happiness in sharing a bit of my life.
So, today is one such day and I recorded two videos with the help of my Son. I am yet to edit them and upload. One of them is about ‘how to prepare Composite Roti’ and the second is ‘Scrambled Egg-Andhra East Godavari style’ 🙂
My Broadband connection issue is finally rectified after hubby personally went to the Exchange and followed up with the Lineman. What a relief !! . I was totally handicapped for 2 full days. My Mobile Data too got exhausted…Phew !! Almost felt lost …:)) . Had to request my hubby and son to switch on their mobile hotspot and they reluctantly did that after putting a limit of the data that i could use… Hmmm
We are almost at the fag end of April and we have not yet switched on the A/C ,though hubby cleaned the filters and ensured they are in working condition and kept them ready for use. Hope we will be able to manage all through summer without A/C .With May coming up ,I am not so sure. The weather is very humid but not very hot and I am sweating like a pig whenever I am cooking/cleaning :).
Saw a video where a distraught farmer was expressing the plight of farmers during the lockdown. His banana plantation was ready to be harvested and he is unable to get labour to cut and transport the fruits. He is pleading with people watching his video to keep forwarding his video instead of other unworthy videos. His final statement is very touching :’what are people going to eat in the future if this is the situation’ . Really bad situation . I hope the government increases the wages of agricultural labour just like the benefits given to the frontline medical staff. Also the farmers should reduce their profits and give more wages to the labourers. The farmers an should also take care of the labourers by ensuring that they are following social distancing and using PPEs.
